Webflow
Setup Guide

Everything you need to launch your website — from creating your account to going live with a custom domain.

// step 01

Creating Your Webflow Account

Free to start — no credit card required at sign-up.

Webflow is the platform we use to build and host your website. You'll need a free account to get started. The whole process takes under five minutes.

// how to create your account5 steps
[ 1 ]Go to webflow.com and click Get started — it's free in the top right corner.
[ 2 ]Enter your name, email address, and a strong password, then click Create account.
[ 3 ]Check your inbox for a verification email from Webflow and click the confirmation link inside.
[ 4 ]Answer the short onboarding questionnaire about your role and goals — this personalises your dashboard.
[ 5 ]You'll land on your Webflow Dashboard. Your free account is now active and ready to use.
// tip
Use your company email address when signing up. It looks more professional and makes it easier for our team to identify and collaborate with your workspace.
// step 02

Choosing the Right Plan

Compare the three main hosting plans available.

Once your site is ready to go live, you'll need a paid hosting plan. Here's a breakdown of the three options to help you decide what fits your needs best.

// not sure which to choose?
We recommend starting with the CMS plan. It covers the needs of most businesses and can be upgraded at any time as your site grows. Reach out and we'll advise based on your specific requirements.
// step 03

Renaming Your Workspace

Set your company name for easy identification.

When you first sign up, Webflow names your workspace after your personal account. Renaming it to your company name keeps things clean — especially when our team needs access to make updates.

// how to rename your workspace5 steps
[ 1 ]From your Webflow Dashboard, click your current workspace name in the top-left corner.
[ 2 ]In the dropdown menu that appears, select Workspace settings.
[ 3 ]On the General settings tutorial-page, locate the Workspace name field.
[ 4 ]Clear the existing name and type your company name exactly as you'd like it to appear.
[ 5 ]Click Save changes. Your workspace now displays your company name.
// why this matters
If you have multiple projects or work with other agencies in the future, a clearly named workspace prevents confusion and makes collaboration significantly smoother for everyone involved.
// step 04

Adding a Custom Domain

Connect yourcompany.com to your Webflow site.

Once your site is designed and ready to launch, you'll connect your custom domain so visitors can find you at your own web address. This requires an active paid hosting plan.

// pre-requisites
[ ✓ ]Access to your domain registrar (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google Domains)
[ ✓ ]Your Webflow site is published and on an active paid hosting plan
[ ✓ ]About 10–15 minutes — DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate globally
// how to connect your domain8 steps
[ 1 ]Open your Webflow site and click the Site Settings icon (gear icon) in the left panel.
[ 2 ]Navigate to the Publishing tab inside Site Settings.
[ 3 ]Under Custom domains, click Add domain.
[ 4 ]Type your full domain (e.g. www.yourcompany.com) and click Add.
[ 5 ]Webflow displays two DNS records — a CNAME and an A record. Copy these values carefully.
[ 6 ]Log in to your domain registrar's control panel and navigate to DNS settings.
[ 7 ]Add the CNAME and A records provided by Webflow exactly as shown — spacing and casing matter.
[ 8 ]Return to Webflow and click Publish to domain. Your site goes live once DNS propagates.
// dns propagation time
After adding DNS records it can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours for changes to take effect worldwide. This is completely normal. You can check propagation status at dnschecker.org.
